• Our roads are dirt & stone and very rocky, accessible with high or 4x4 vehicles only
• Kiosk near swimming pools available for take-aways and drinks.
• No breakfast. Self-catering chalets, but shops and take-aways are conveniently located 8kms away in Bela-Bela
• Pet-friendly, no bigger than knee-high. Please keep on a leash when walking. Owners' risk as we are in the bush and there are baboons.
• No housekeeping service.
• Low cell signals in the area
• Not wheelchair accessible
• Cold water swimming pools
• Prices per chalet include only one under roof parking (1 vehicle) per chalet
• Minimum of 2 nights booking policy

When it comes to check-in and check-out times, we kindly request your cooperation:

CHECK-IN: FROM 14H00 to 18h00 STRICTLY (The gate closes at 18h00 and no entry is permitted afterward)
CHECK-OUT: 10H00 (Later checkouts will be billed for a full day)
On Sundays, the main gate closes at 13H00

Our accommodations are designed to cater to different group sizes and preferences. Our 4-sleeper chalets feature a private room with a double bed and an upper loft room with 1 x bunk bed (consisting of 2 x single beds). The chalets also include their own braai area for outdoor cooking and relaxation. Please note that towels are not provided in the chalets. The maximum occupancy for the 4-sleeper chalets is 4 people, with 2 adults and 2 kids being the ideal configuration.

For larger groups, our 6-sleeper chalets offer two private rooms, each with a double bed, as well as a loft room with two separate single beds. The 6-sleeper chalets have their own braai area and do not provide towels. These chalets can accommodate a maximum of 6 people, with 4 adults and 2 kids being the recommended capacity.

If you prefer camping, Thaba Monaté Game Lodge offers spacious camping sites. (Rooibok camp) Set in an open camp where antelopes freely roam through, these sites are within walking distance from our facilities and swimming pools. Each stand allows a maximum of 6 campers and includes an electric point. Shared ablution facilities are also available.
